This policy explains what information Trellis Enterprises, LLC ("Trellis", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
From shops that use the service: account details such as your name, email address, phone number, and business information, plus the data your shop creates while using the service, such as products, orders, and settings.
From shoppers and recipients: when a shop uses Trellis to run its business, order information such as names, delivery addresses, phone numbers, and card messages passes through the service. That information belongs to the shop, and we process it on the shop's behalf to make deliveries, receipts, and messages work.
From visitors to this website: as little as possible. This site has no advertising trackers and no analytics scripts. If you email us, we receive what you send.
We use information to provide and improve the service, to keep it secure, to support you, and to send messages the service requires, such as an order confirmation or a delivery notification. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your shop's customer list for our own marketing.
We share information only with the service providers needed to run Trellis, such as payment processing, message delivery, printing, and hosting. Each provider receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and are not stored on Trellis systems.
We take security seriously and design the service so that each shop's data is isolated from every other shop's. Access to systems is limited, monitored, and logged. No system can promise perfect security, so we also design so that any single failure exposes as little as possible.
We keep data for as long as the shop uses the service. When a shop leaves, it has thirty days to export its data, after which the data is scheduled for deletion. If you are a shopper and want your information corrected or removed, contact the shop you bought from, and we will help them honor the request.
The service is for businesses and is not directed at children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. For meaningful changes we will tell shops directly.
